The rivalry between the Helena Bighorns and Gillette Wild continues as both teams walk away with a win this past weekend in Gillette’s home rink. Helena, however, remains in first place, being one point ahead of the Wild.
Friday’s game ended in a 2-0 win for the Bighorns, with Helena goalie Keaton French adding another shutout to his list, saving all 29 shots against him. Both goals for Helena were scored by Camden Cunningham, with two assists by Tyler Bloom, and one each by Joe Feamster and Luc Corbin.
Saturday’s game was the same scoring outcome, but this time it was Gillette taking home the 2-0 win. Keaton French stood in net again, ending the game with 41 out of 43 saves.
Helena will end the regular season with two games against the Butte Cobras this upcoming weekend. Helena will play in Butte on Friday, March 3rd, and will host Butte at home in Helena on Saturday, March 4th. Catch Friday’s game live at Buffalo Wild Wings at 7:30pm.
