Mike Greene – Owner/General Manager
Mike, a native of Colorado Springs, brings a wealth of hockey and business experience as the Partner-Owner and General Manager of the Bighorns. Mike spent six years as a Head Coach in Tier II Junior Hockey as well as playing Tier II Junior Hockey. Years two and three of Mike’s coaching career was spent in Helena where he led the Helena Ice Pirates in the inaugural year of Junior Hockey in Helena. In addition to Mike’s Junior coaching experience, he has over 30 years of experience coaching youth hockey ranging from 8U all the way through 18U. Mike also has an extensive proven track record in business ownership and management and is committed to the success and longevity of the Helena Bighorns.

Jed Snyder – Owner
Jed grew up in Fairbanks Alaska before his family relocated to the Helena area in 1991. Jed played youth hockey in Fairbanks which led him to playing for a couple of the premier AAA teams in the Detroit area. Jed is a Helena Capital High School graduate and played for Mike Greene in the inaugural season of the Helena Ice Pirates. After the Helena Ice Pirates Jed continued playing at Arizona State University, and in the Western Professional Hockey League.
Following his playing career Jed reconnected with Mike Greene and started coaching at all levels of youth hockey. Outside of hockey, Jed had a 20-year career in the oil and gas industry and now owns Steed Arena, home of the Helena Bighorns. Not only does Jed bring a high level of hockey and business experience to the Bighorns, he also has deep roots in the Helena community and is committed to the success of the Bighorns on and off the ice.
